Aashni + Co Wedding Show in association with Zouch & Lamare is presented by one of the UK’s leading Indian fashion influencers, Aashni Shah, Founder and Creative Director of Aashni + Co, a high fashion, Indian concept store located in Notting Hill, London. Aashni says, “I’m delighted to be presenting to the UK some of India’s most coveted designers, curating them through a luxe exhibition concept and retail platform of this scale.

It was imperative to feature the right mix of designers and fashion houses, from older, established A-listers and luxury designers to the most hyped and desirable new generation talent. It was important to keep the aesthetic and experience for visitors fresh and on trend, with a wide range for visitors to choose from. And of, course bringing the best of Indian bridal and couture fashion and the creators themselves to London. It is time people stopped travelling all the way to India to find their wedding outfit – we wanted to bring the best of India’s bridal to our doorstep.”

About Aashni + Co

Founded in autumn of 2012, Aashni + Co pioneers the most desirable edit in Indian high fashion. A beautiful concept store in the heart of London’s Notting Hill with ecommerce site, Aashni + Co has been established with the purpose of providing access to visionary designers of India for the residents of United Kingdom. Designers include Anamika Khanna, Anushree Reddy, Arpita Mehta, Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi, Varun Bahl and like. Aashni + Co is set over two floors with haute couture, ready-to-wear collections, jewellery and accessories.

About Aashni Shah, Founder and Creative Director, Aashni + Co

For 29-year-old Aashni Shah, opening a luxury, multidesigner boutique stocking a cocktail of the choicest Indian designers and couture in London’s quaint Notting Hill wasn’t part of Plan A. An erstwhile editor for commercials and Assistant Director for feature films, the London-based, Bombay-born entrepreneur’s life initially revolved around the magic of the cinematic experience. So much so that she moved to London to study filmmaking at The National Film and Television School and MET Film school at the age of 22. Little did she know, she was soon to be drawn into a different line of work, albeit one that would be just as aesthetically satisfying.

During her stay in the British capital, Shah recognised a huge void of access to Indian design outside of India. Her intrinsic interest for curating and creating kicked in and were quickly channelled into building Aashni + Co, a vehicle to introduce a wealth of Indian fashion talent to London. An inherent passion for fashion, varied roles as a creative collaborator, interactions with likeminded people since the age of 18, culturally rich formative years in India as well as travel experiences have all played a vital role in writing Shah’s success story. Ever since it’s inception in 2012, Aashni + Co has carved a niche for itself as one of London’s most sought after destinations for luxury Indian fashion, garnering attention from fashionistas and celebrities in the UK and Continental Europe alike.
