Ajay Devgn talks politics and 'Satyagraha'

​Ajay has no intention of entering politics

More known recently for his comedy roles, in films like Bol Bachchan and Son of Sardaar, Ajay Devgn will now return to another genre at which is he good at.

In Prakash Jha's political thriller Satyagraha, the actor is back to being serious and will be seen playing a role based on real life social activist Arvind Kejriwal. And rumours are rife, that the intense actor may get into politics in real life too. Devgn however, dismisses the rumours as mere hearsay.

“I don’t foresee myself entering politics any time soon. Nor will I favour or support any political party.” Ask him why he chooses to stay away from it and he says, “I am an actor and I love my job. My work requires 100 per cent concentration and time and there is no time for anything else apart from my family,” said the actor clearing the air to Hindustan Times.

Satyagraha is written by Jha and Anjum Rajabali, and sees Amitabh Bachchan playing social activist Anna Hazare and also stars Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee and Amrita Rao. 

After Satyagraha, Devgn will take a short break and then begin work on Prabhudheva’s next, followed by Rohit Shetty’s sequel to Singham (2011).
