Ranveer to shake a leg with Govinda

The actor who's basking in the success of Ram-leela, and the plaudits he received for Lootera is apparently going to shake a leg on screen with Govinda in the upcoming Yash Raj Films Kill Dil
"I am very excited to work with Govinda and he is playing a negative role and its my dream come true to work with him. We also have a dance number together in the film and I am thrilled about it," said Ranveer to IANS. The actor is very fond of Govinda and also paid tribute to him at an awards function. Kill Dil also stars Rani Mukerji, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar and is directed by Shaad Ali.

Priyanka-Ranveer-Arjun have a blast on Dance India Dance 4

Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra had a blast on reality show Dance India Dance, where Arjun and Priyanka revealed how the action choreographer had to put his foot down and insist that Ranveer control his energy on the sets of their upcoming GundayEven on the dance reality show, Ranveer would stand up and mimic grandmaster Mithun Chakraborty.
"Can't help it much dada (Mithun), it's just his personality. There's little one can do to control the energizer bunny," laughed PC. The episode will air in India on Saturday 8 February 2014 on Zee TV.

Warner Bros' title war against Ajay Devgn-Prabhudeva's Action Jackson

Trouble's brewing over the title of Prabhudheva's film Action Jackson, but co-producer Gordan Tanwani refuses to budge and insists he will not rename the film at any cost. Warner Bros' 1988 Hollywood film featuring Carl Weathers and Sharon Stone released with the same name and the production house has given the makers of the Bollywood film a 48-hour notice to change the title as Action Jackson is registered by them as well. 
"When you register a title with any or all of these associations, they get their clearance from the government of India. My film is 70 percent complete, why have they sent a notice now? Why do they have an objection now and not earlier," Tanwani of Baba Arts Limited Production said to IANS.
"It is just because they want to pressurise the individual producer...they know I am an individual producer and they are big people. They want to create pressure on the small producer," he said.
"What was the need to send a notice? They should have called the associations because they are also the member of the same association. I am surprised," he said. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam and Kunal Roy Kapur.

Sonakshi wants to do a biopic?

Known as the quintessential Rs.100 crore heroine, Sonakshi Sinha who's tried her hand at various genres in her short career span now wants to star in a biopic.
"Right now I am not doing any biopic, but if given a chance I would love to portray an actress. Be it Madhubala or Meena Kumari, somebody who has had a very illustrious career," the 26-year-old said at the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai yesterday. Sonakshi was there to inaugurate artist Neeraj Goswami's painting exhibition. 

Being Human outlet opens in Kathmandu

Being Human: Salman Khan Foundation, an international clothing brand that promotes the cause of the underprivileged in the education and healthcare sectors, opened its outlet in Kathmandu earlier today, 6 February 2014. Hundreds of Salman Khan fans thronged the mall during the opening of the outlet. The average price range of the brand's apparel is between Rs.500 and Rs.5000.

Funeral service for Philip Seymour Hoffman on Friday 7 February

The Academy Award winning Hollywood actor's loved ones will bid adieu to the actor in a funeral service to be held in New York on Friday. Hoffman passed away recently from what was suspected to be a drug overdose. According to sources, a private wake for Hoffman’s family and friends will be held at the Frank E Campbell funeral home for a few hours on Thursday evening. The funeral will be held the following day before noon at New York’s St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church. The celebrities who are expected to attend the funeral include Cate Blanchett, Justin Theroux and Bobby Cannavale.

McConaughey all praise for DiCaprio

Rarely ever do two competing stars compliment one another for their respective work, especially when both of them are in direct competition for the coveted Academy Award. But Matthew McConaughey, who has been nominated in the best actor category in this year's Academy Awards along with Leonardo DiCaprio, is all praise for his The Wolf of Wall Street colleague in which the former had a sparkling cameo.
"That guy's been doing work that's deserving of being in the conversation and of winning for some time. He's one of our generation's best actors," said the Dallas Buyers Club star, who recently bagged a Golden Globe for playing and AIDS patient in the Jean-Marc Vallée directorial, in a statement.

Tom Cruise sued for $1 bn

Superstar Tom Cruise has been sued for $1 billion by screenwriter Timothy Patrick McLanahan for the script of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.
"In 1998 I had written a screenplay called Head On. After submitting it to the U.S. Copyright Office, Head On received a copyright certificate protecting its material and author from unauthorised use," McLanahan wrote in legal documents obtained by Radar. McLanahan is claiming his script was put in front of Cruise's agent Rick Nicita, who is married to the star's production partner Paula Wagner.

Jared Leto feels quitting acting for 6 years was his best decision yet

Actor Jared Leto who has won raves and an Academy Award nomination for his portrayal as trans woman in Dallas Buyers Club believes quitting acting for six years was "one of the best decisions" he's ever made.
The actor stopped performing for over a decade in order to focus on his music career, but he thinks the break made him a better actor.
"I think that the six years I took off was one of the best decisions I've ever made, in my entire life. I think it made me a better actor. I think it made me a better person. We really only have to offer an equal and opposite reflection of the experiences that we've had in our lives, and the time away was crucial,” he said.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx dating?

Now this one's a whopper of a surprise! Katie Holmes is rumoured to be dating Jamie Foxx after the two were spotted spending time together during the Super Bowl last weekend. Holmes, 35, and Foxx, 46, have reportedly been seeing each other since last summer and also spent time together at his mansion in California recently. They are keeping their relationship under wraps out of respect for Holmes' ex-husband Tom Cruise, a source said.
