Ranveer Singh wants to be a superhero

Hunky Ranveer Singh hasn't been seen in a film since 2011, so it's no surprise then that the 27 year old wants to make up for lost time. He has several back to back releases lined up, with Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera coming up in the next couple of weeks.

The actor who was promoting the film at a recent event let reporters in on the kind of genres he's willing to explore next.

"I am looking forward to do a biopic. I think it would be very exciting to transform into a person who has lived a full life... whose life has been closely chronicled. As an actor, I think it's a great challenge, and I am feel am upto it," said Ranveer.

He also confessed he has been considering superhero-based film scripts as well.

"I would absolutely love to do a superhero film. I am looking forward to doing a superhero film. I think action is my favourite genre and I thoroughly enjoy it. I am a great fan of superheroes myself," he said.

"It would be a very good experience for me to play a superhero. There have been couple of superhero films that have come my way. They have not worked out because they are not the right ones," added the 27-year-old.

Appreciating co-actor Sonakshi Sinha's (who he stars with in Lootera) managerial skills, Ranveer Singh says he hardly has time for himself.

"We work double shifts, something I am very new to, which Sonakshi does all the time. She is such a busy actor. She has five releases a year...she makes so many movies a year. One of the busiest actors in the business. I learn from her how to tackle the load of your professional life," said the 27-year-old.

After n Lootera, Ranveer has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela (with rumoured beau Deepika Padukone), Gunday (with Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra), and Shaad Ali's Kill Dil with Parineeti Chopra.
