The ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ trailer is here — and it's awesome

Just a few days after the epic trailer of Captain America The Winter Soldier  hit the web, comic book fans now have even more reason to rejoice. The trailer for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Day's of Future Past has landed and it's nothing short of phenomenal.

"Though there is a great deal of humor, the overall tone is a bit darker than previous films, particularly because of the stakes," said director Bryan Singer on Twitter recently.

Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence returns as the younger Mystique

Singer's return to the franchise caused a great deal of excitement, especially since it was him that got the ball rolling for Marvel, with 2000's X-Men, and later X-Men 2, until Brett Ratner got his hands on X-Men The Last Stand, and botched up the franchise which Singer until then, had done so well at establishing. Matthew Vaughn redeemed the series though with X-Men First Class, and with the actors from that film, coming together with the original ensemble star cast, expectations from this mammoth venture are nothing short of sky high.

Hugh Jackman in X-Men Days of Future Past

In the film, Wolverine (Jackman) is sent back in time to undo the mistakes made by the younger mutants, the outcome of which could alter the future for mutantkind forever. The film is based on a 1981 storyline in the comics of the same name.
