Farhan Akhtar ready to tickle funny bone with 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects'
He's just received hosannas for his sensitive turn as Milkha Singh in last year's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and it looks like Farhan Akhtar is ready to try something different and break the mold.
The actor-director says of all the films he has done as an actor till now, his next film, Saket Chaudhary's Shaadi Ke Side Effects gave him the chance to do explore his funny side.
"I got to do a lot of comedy in the film. The dialogues and the situations are very funny. I think out of all the films that I have done as an actor till now, this is probably the most humourous film I ever did," the 40-year-old said in Mumbai at a promotional event for the film.
The actor also says that Shaadi Ke Side Effects has all the ingredients of a romcom.
"Actually most of my scenes in the film are comic because the film is essentially a comedy. It has that classic format of a romcom where things get serious when the resolution of the story is about to happen and all life secrets tumble out," said the actor.
In the film, Farhan plays Sid, an aspiring musician who bows down to his wife's (played by Vidya Balan) demand's of having a child, only to regret his decision after the child takes up the couple's entire time and life, leading to seemingly irreconcilable differences between the two.
Shaadi Ke Side Effects hits the marquee 28 February.
