South star Prithviraj bags Farah Khan's Happy New Year
Prithviraj was last seen with Rani Mukerji in the box office turkey Aiyyaa
After incessant delays Farah Khan's ambitious and much touted project Happy New Year is finally gathering momentum and getting set to roll. Reportedly, a three-hero-one heroine project, the hunt was on for a third actor to star alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. The search it seems has finally ended, after Bollywood Hungama today reported that South star Prithviraj has bagged the coveted part.
Prithviraj was seen in Aiyyaa, his Hindi film debut at the fag end of last year with Rani Mukerji, but unfortunately for him that film was a disaster at ticket windows. His luck seems to be looking up though, because in addition to Happy New Year, the actor will also be seen in YRF's Aurangzeb which features Arjun Kapoor in a double role.
The female lead in Happy New Year is not yet known. Earlier, names like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra had been had been thrown around but Farah has rubbished those reports, stating that they were still looking for a suitable actress to be cast opposite the three eligible stars.
